“Family School class preperation as well as adult education lectures and
discussion have provided a valuable opportunity to reflect upon the spiritual,
cultural, and moral strands of our religious practice.

While their children are in class, adults who are not teaching participate in the school’s adult education series, which consists of speakers on a variety of topics or smaller breakout sessions which focus on group discussions, grade level meetings, or meetings of the school’s committees. Since the school is an entirely cooperative venture, all families are strongly encouraged to volunteer to serve on one committee, a commitment which does not take a lot of time, and facilitates making connections with other families. A highlight of each year is the 8th Grade Panel in the Spring, when students about to graduate reflect on their experiences in Family School, and take questions from parents.
